On November 5, 2011 they both were at a collage party. He spotted her from across the room and knew he had to talk to her but couldn’t get up the nerve right away. However, with some encouragement from friends Jerryl worked up the courage to introduce himself to Melissa, the girl with a smile he noticed immediately, the girl he had to meet. A casual pizza date, with hours of conversation later they connected and their relationship began.
Just over five years later on December 22, 2016, it was a wintery day in NYC, all the storefronts were decorated for the holidays and the city was lit with millions of lights. They walked hand in hand through Central Park talking about their upcoming years aspirations, goals, and talked about doing a bucket list. Sitting on a bench in Central Park Jerryl then told Melissa that wherever they may travel or anything they will do in life that he wants to always do it together. He got up off that bench and down on one knee and asked her to marry him!! ❤ ❤
Isn’t that just a sweet sweet love story? I am so excited to have a small part in telling it for these two genuine, loving souls. The morning of their engagement session was filled with laughter, joy, and love. I thought it was fitting to start it off with a walk through the park to reminisce that day in Central Park ❤

They were in Nashville celebrating her birthday at the country music festival in 2014! Before leaving their hotel to explore the city of Nashville Owen asked her if she wanted her birthday present! That present was an engagement ring and of course she said yes!! They will be getting married this year in September!!
What a beautiful day for an engagement session! We spent it walking around Jamesville Beach and Sydney’s parents home. I loved getting to know these two more; laughing, shooting guns, driving golf carts, and chasing balloons!! 🙂 We have so much in common; these are all things my husband and I do so it made it that much more fun! I cannot wait for their beautiful tent wedding on this amazing property and document the day they say I DO! What did you think of this post? Do you know this amazing couple? Feel free to share love to them or about this post in the reply box below!

They both graduated high school and were taking their next step in life, college. Moving into the dorms they were immediately acquainted since they were neighbors. Janelle + Peter quickly became friends along with many others on their floor. A friendship that went on for a year began to become something more their Sophmore year. Almost 4.5 years since that first day of college, an Empire State Building proposal, Janelle + Peter will say their vows in August!
In an effort to beat the rain we started their engagement session earlier at Beak and Skiff in Skaneateles, NY then we headed to Lourdes Camp for a picnic. They rain came quick but we had fun playing in it!! 🙂 I LOVE this! Going into their session I kept remembering our initial meeting. From the second I approached the door they were full of laughter and smiles and this photo, to me, represents their personalities together. This was not a light rain session, it was down pouring. But I am a sucker for rain photos and they made the best of every moment together! and rain makes moments so romantic! 🙂
