Baby Boy Cake Smash | Syracuse Child Photographer | Roman

We just had to share some photos from Roman’s cake smash!  His Mom wanted to do a few camping theme photos to fit his birthday party theme and then we swapped over to a backdrop that would go great in their home!  I love planning these cake smash sessions, or in Roman’s case, pie smash ;), and its so fun to see what the babies will do when they get the cake!

Hope this brings some joy to your Tuesday afternoon!

Love these groupings!  What a great way to display their different sides of personality while documenting and showing it’s their first bday! ❤ CHOMPERS! Love this smile!

Cake Smash Photo Session | Syracuse Baby Photographer

Does this get you excited for Spring!?!? I cannot wait to watch everything come to life at The Farm!  I have been wanting to blog this session for a long time!! One of my favorite clients that I have been so blessed to be photographing since they were engaged! You may have seen them on my recent blog post Reason 1,051 on Why I Love My Job.

So we had about 30 minutes before the rain started falling and Brooklyn knocked this session out of the park!  I just loved everything about this session.  The clothing choices, accessories, and decorations.  And as a last minute decision we ended the session in a bath 🙂  I hope you love some of these moments captured and it brings a smile to your face as we head into another work week!

Syracuse Senior Photography | Featuring Sofia !

We are featuring another senior who will be graduating this year, Sofia!!  She was an absolute dream to work with and photograph.  These seniors today look like they stepped out of a magazine, mine did not look like this!! Maybe I should pull them out so people can have a chuckle one of these days 🙂  I am in love with Sofia’s style, how she accessorized, that she got her nails done, and that she chose outfits that fit her personality!  This was such a perfect day at The Farm, take me back to these warm weather days ❤ What will you miss about High School? “snow days, spirit week, and seeing my friends everyday” ~ Sofia  LOVED this answer, I am sure each person out of school misses snow days and has at least one memory watching the school names scroll across the screen, fingers crossed, so much anticipation and then the moment came….your school comes on the television which is followed by jumping with joy in the living room with siblings and calling up friends-yup calling!! no texting in these memories, corded phone or dial up internet that took eternity to connect 😀 ….Oh the memories so vivid, this brings a huge smile to my face 🙂 …memory rant over…❤ ❤ ❤  “I am so excited about going to college, learning more and meeting new people” ~Sofia .  Yup, this was a classic Cylinda B freak out moment…this and the first picture are a few I remember specifically!! Sofia, we wish you an amazing college experience, learn lots, meet great friends and reach for the stars! You will do beautiful things!

Reason 1,051 on Why I Love My Job

I was preparing for a presentation for an organization I am a part of, PPSCNY  (on a side note, if you are interested in learning more about photography this is a great organization to be a part of to learn and grow-click link PPSCNY to learn more!) and while preparing I dug through my old archives and started reliving sessions of families that have chosen to have me document their life & family since the beginning of CBP and my heart filled with so much joy looking back on moments captured!  This is one of my favorite things about my business, seeing my clients year after year, if not multiple times per year, and watching them grow.  Seeing their lives change, whether getting married, starting a family, growing a family, their babies growing into toddlers, and watching their personalities grow and develop.  I am sure you hear me say it all the time the joy I have for being able to do what I love to do and how grateful I am to each person that steps in front of my camera to document them, their life, joy, happiness and occasional tears!

I wanted to share a few clients that I went through for this presentation and share some moments captured through the years!

This beautiful family won a contest I held when I first started out.  I met them and their sweet baby girl at 3 months old.  Saw her again at 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, a year and a half old, when she got a baby sister, and when her baby sister turned one this past summer.  Watching her grow, her smiles, sassy attitude, her love for her sister grow has been such a blessing.

I met these two sweet humans when they were looking for a wedding photographer.  Seeing their love for each other at their engagement session, saying their vows, being blessed with pregnancy and then meeting their sweet baby girl and documenting her first year of life was incredible.  They also hold such a special spot in my heart. ❤ (ps. I have to blog her cake smash from the summer, it was so perfect!)And another beautiful family who are also close friends to our family.  I Just love watching these girls grow!  I look forward to each year seeing them, and documenting moments between the whole family, they are always so fun!  They are getting so big and are always so so sweet. Cannot wait for the fall to see them again ❤ We all have or at least should have different and our own idea of success so mine is that I get to do what I love every day & spend a lot of time with my sweet baby boy.  That saying we have always heard growing up if you find what you love to do you won’t feel like you work a day in your life applies to me and I have to thank each one of you who continue to have me be a little part of documenting your life that fulfills a part of my life each day.

Syracuse, NY Senior Portraits | Featuring Ally!

We are so blessed to have met so many amazing students last year who will be graduating this year and making an impact on our future generations!  As we embark on 2018 and all it has to bring we will be looking back at 2017 and featuring a few seniors over the next few months!

Ally had her session at The Farm in July. She is so sweet and the session was so fun!  She graduates this year and is going to college to be a sonogram technician!  She is a natural beauty, here are a few favorites from our afternoon at the studio!

I love adding accessories, it allows seniors to have fun, and shows other sides of their personality…How cute is this hat her mom picked out and brought?!

What will you miss most about your senior year? “I’ll miss seeing my friends every day and being able to hang out with them whenever I want” Ally Ally’s Mother snuck out her Husband’s Camaro so they could gift him this portrait! ❤ The surprise was almost spoiled when he came home to mud on the tires though! 🙂  “I’m excited to meet new people and have fun experiences in college” Ally.  Enjoy every moment, Ally!!  Congratulations, Ally and thank you again for choosing us to document your senior year.  Best wishes.

Country Engagement | The Farm | Emilee & Matt

They met through a mutual friend from college who invited them out to ski one weekend at Labrador Mountain over four years ago.  He noticed her blonde braided hair and bright red snow pants, and she noticed his “fancy moves” on the slopes (Emilee says she thinks he was showing off for her 🙂 – not sure if he admits it 😉 ) After the trip they connected via Facebook and kept in touch, they planned another trip skiing with both of their best friends.  When Emilee’s friend had to cancel, Matt told his friend (and soon to be Best Man) that he wasn’t able to come 🙂 ❤ So this turned into their first date!  Dollar taco’s and two Dollar Margaritas a few days after Valentines Day, is now a yearly tradition! ❤  Since that night they talked every day and in August they will become husband and wife!

Emilee and Matt share a love for the outdoors, hiking, skiing, four wheeling etc!  When they first started dating Matt would take Emilee for a four wheeler ride to see the sunset ❤ and it became something they would do together often so we had to incorporate that in their engagement!  I had so much fun with y’all at The Farm!  Thank you for choosing us to document this moment in your lives! We cannot wait for your wedding day!! ❤

“I love her fun, crazy energy and that she always wants to do something. Emilee always sees the good in people, and always does things to make others happy. She makes me want to be a better person” ~Matt

I love his motivation to be better in everything he does. I love that I can be myself around him (I can be dressy or in barn boots, I can be nerdy and “cool”, he let’s me watch Christmas movies on November 1st just because he knows it makes me happy) and he still loves me despite my flaws” ~Emilee ❤ ❤

Thank you for visiting! ❤
