I Always Wanted to Be a Rockstar!

I am sure we have all been there, our hands clenched in a fist with that invisible microphone in front of the mirror, or hairbrush in hand jumping on the bed, dancing around the room, belting out our favorite song. And maybe to go as far as imagining a crowd there to see you, chanting, hollering joyfully eager to hear you sing.  Then jumping into the crowd, crowd surfing while you rock out to all your fans! Anyone relating to this yet?!   Oh the childhood imagination at work. 🙂

Well sadly (and gratefully) I found out early on that I was tone deaf and was NOT gifted with a great voice.  I remember the day perfectly…I found my brothers recorder and I decided to sing into it a song I rocked singing, You Were Meant for Me by Jewel. Well sadly my dreams of becoming singer came to a complete crash when I hit the play button, what I heard and what others would hear were evidently different!! So at 13 years old I decided my singing would be nonexistent or should I dare to continue it would be alone with my imaginary microphone.

On June 8th 2017 we were blessed with this beautiful baby boy, Luca and my rockstar self was reborn!

Luca means Light, and he was about a week or two old when I sang to him for the first time, This Little Light of Mine, and he gave me the biggest smile.   Now, it may have been gas but I humbly decided it was because he loved mommy’s singing voice 🙂 He is almost 7 months old and I sing to him often.  Whether we are swinging around the dance floor (our house), cooking to Italian music, morning ABC’s, or rocking him to sleep, I sing shamelessly!  He looks at me and smiles, its calms his tears, helps him fall asleep, and the really silly made up songs can get a giggle.  So although my dream of being a singer was crushed at 13 years old, today I am the best kind of rockstar there can be and I have the best, biggest fan. ❤

child photography, mom life, motherhood, want to be a rockstar

A Ventosa Vineyard Wedding | Suzanne & Mike

The sun shined bright on this summer-like fall day at the stunning Ventosa Vineyards a few weeks ago where Suzanne & Mike said their vows in front of their closest family and friends.  Their day was filled with love, TONS of laughter, and joy! Suzanne hanging out with her best friend and daughters all morning getting ready for the walk down the isle and Mike tasting beer and playing corn hole at the local brewery everything about today was relaxed, fun and laid back, just how they envisioned.   From practical jokes, Mike’s goofy poses, and awesome dance floor moves Chelsea and I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing all day!

A Skaneateles Proposal | I am Getting Another Sister!!

In our every day busy lives it can be hard to meet people, but we are blessed with technology that gives couples the chance to find their soulmate. You hear it on TV, the radio, about friends or family members, and perhaps you have read it on my blog a few times about marriages of couples who are brought together from online meeting sites.  Here is another love story that began online!  Chris and Meghan met 3 years ago and had their first date at a Tavern, a day that would change both their lives.

Saturday was the perfect day in Skaneateles, NY.  My brother-in-law proposed to his girlfriend in the beautiful gardens of a gorgeous home and SHE SAID YES!!! We are all SO happy and excited to have Meghan as an official family member   and I am so excited to have another sister! We couldn’t be happier to be adding such an amazing person in our family “officially” :).  We cannot wait to see what the future holds for y’all.

A Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel Wedding | Melissa & Jerryl

After Melissa was ready she made her way to the hall of languages where her Groom was waiting to see her for the first time, with so many SU fans heading to the game cheering her on and witnessing this moment!  His face, the fans cheers, and the happiness in their eyes made a beautiful first look Moment!

As the ceremony began tears fell as Melissa’s brothers walked her down the isle to give her hand to Jerryl, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.  Her dad was absolutely looking over this beautiful moment in her life. They were married by Jerryl’s mom which also made the ceremony so special.  With there vows, a kiss, and a jump over a broom stick they were man and wife!

A Greek Peak Mountain Resort Wedding | Cortland, NY | Emilee & Matt

Matt & Emilee became husband and wife a few weeks ago in front of their family and friends and celebrated at the beautiful Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland NY.   About four years ago they met through a mutual friend from college who invited them on a weekend ski trip so celebrating at a Ski Resort was dear to their hearts and Greek Peak surely didn’t disappoint their vision.  The views were stunning, food was AMAZING, friendly staff and the grounds had a rustic charm.

Their elegant, bee/honey-beer theme added a personal touch to their wedding day.  Her fathers honey is the ingredient in Peach Buzz Beer crafted by Empire Brewery, and it was a hit!

From the moment we stepped into Emilee’s parents house there was a feeling of joy, relaxation, excitement and happiness.  Their wedding party and families were so sweet and we absolutely couldn’t have been happier and honored to have been a part of their wedding day.   Thank you so much for having us document this moment in your lives.  ❤ Cylinda & Chelsea

something old, new, borrowed, blue and a sixpence in your shoe! First time I heard about the sixpence! Emilee’s dad gave her mom a sixpence before their wedding, and he gave her one on Christmas for her wedding 🙂 ❤ Emilee’s girls seeing her dress and her in it for the first time!  “Emilee always sees the good in people, and always does things to make others happy” Matt said this is one of the things he loves about Emilee, and over the year I got to know her and she truly is a beautiful soul and one of the kindest people.
❤ We just love fun wedding parties!   Absolutely love how the one groomsmen is looking at Matt’s reaction to his beautiful bride coming down the isle!Emilee’s grandmother Ruth wasn’t able to travel from out of town but she was able to Skype in on parts of the day to see her grand baby get married.  ❤  Fun family formals!  An AWESOME group hug! ❤  What a gorgeous setting out back of the little white church they became man in wife in…A little obsessed with these! “I love that I can be myself around him (I can be dressy or in barn boots, I can be nerdy and “cool”, he let’s me watch Christmas movies on November 1st just because he knows it makes me happy)” Emilee These two don’t stop smiling but I am happy I got them to do a model/serious pose for this shot! ❤ ❤  Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Wedding, Cortland, Cylinda B Photography, Syracuse Photographer-100 Off to Greek Peak!! A Dibbles Inn Wedding | Vernon, NY | Amy & Matt

Amy and Matt got married!! They celebrated at the beautiful, new, Cannary Building at Dibbles Inn in Vernon, NY with their family and friends.  Who knew that getting pulled over could lead to a lifetime of happiness!  ❤ 🙂 Seriously, sounds like something out of a movie but Matt pulling Amy over was honestly the start of their relationship a few years ago.

The day was filled with love, joy and laughter.  Their vintage/rustic theme was just beautiful.  Many laughs and some tears from speeches, and so much fun on the dance floor.  Today turned out to be better then they could have imagined and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.

Thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of your beautiful day. We hope you love some of the moments captured. ❤ Cylinda & Chelsea

Such a sweet surprise on Amy’s bouquet from her cousin(aka sister), Kara, in remembrance of her father so he was with her all day.

I think thinks holds true for many people in Amy’s life.  Her smile and laugh can make anyone happy!  She had us smiling all day! ❤ The Cannery Building at Dibbles in was just breathtaking!   ❤ ❤ ❤ Such a sweet Mother & Son dance.  Chelsea and I looked at each other and teared when Matts Mom handed her sons hand to Amys to finish out the song together.  So sweet.
